2019 Control was a pretty special game. From Remedy Entertainment, the developers of gems as beloved as Alan Wake and the Max Payne series, it was in many ways an accumulation of all of their different themes and gameplay mechanics. Although it seemed to start slowly, the game did quite well. Despite being released in 2019, the game got a lot of attention in 2020 with expansion packs, being on Xbox Game Pass and a Ultimate Edition reissue. Remedy was also keen to show what everyone did that year as well.
The developer shared an infographic of what was done in 2020, and there are plenty of stats there. The match was beaten 552,643 times, but Jesse was defeated by 58,910,239 enemies. Probably the biggest statistic, unsurprisingly, is the insane amount of furniture that was thrown away, with a staggering 1,847,145,550 items hanging around the square. You can see the full stats below.
Control: Ultimate Edition, which brings together the base game and all DLC, is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version is scheduled for February 2.
