It’s 9:21, and the Dodgers are tied at 2-2. It’s a close game with a few interesting turns. First, the Dodgers tied it in the fourth. Then, in the bottom of the ninth, the Reds tied it again. Walker Buehler was getting a lot of run support from the crowd. After getting Adam Duvall to fly out to center, he got a ground-rule double from Austin Riley. The ball traveled 380 feet and hit 102.8 mph.
As the Dodgers’ season continues, they’ll try to bounce back from two straight losses. On Tuesday, they’ll face the Atlanta Braves for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series. Game three will take place on the west coast at 2:08pm ET, while the first pitch will take place at 5:08 pm ET on the east coast. Here are some things to note:
The Dodgers won Game 5 of the NLCS, cutting Atlanta’s lead in the best-of-seven series to three. They’ve also cut Atlanta’s lead to two games, forcing a Game 6 in Atlanta. Although Chris Taylor missed his fourth home run, the Dodgers’ offense is still strong and they have the chance to win the World Series.
The Atlanta Braves won the NLCS and are the reigning World Series champions. They’re in the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season. Atlanta Braves beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 in Game 6 of the NLCS. It’s a close game and the Dodgers are one game away from going home for the winter.
The Dodgers will end the regular season in 2022 at home, where they’ll host the Rockies on June 14, the Philadelphia Phillies on June 19, the Rockies on July 4 and the San Diego Padres on July 5. During the 2022 season, they’ll play five of six series against the San Diego Padres, including four dates in July. The 2022 season will also feature the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, so don’t miss out on that.
The top of the eighth features a runner on third with two outs. However, the bottom of the eighth sees a different story. Soler doubles to lead off the bottom of the eighth, then slides into second on a groundout. After that, Seager lines out to third on a changeup. In the ninth, the Dodgers’ bullpen gets a strikeout from a pinch-hitter, while the third baseman is grounded out.
